What have I done?
After four weeks of participating in and blogging for the OM MBA, I am a little “between the sheets”. This is mainly, because the content is hurting my ego. While I thought, that I am actually good on track with having my resources organized, knowing what to do with my client once he has entered my “sales funnel” and thus being able to deliver good service, I somehow feel that there is so much room for improvement that I actually have to use the next days to rework my processes. While I have watched every video, there is so much content that it is really hard to keep up and to apply these techniques.
But doesn´t that sound familiar to you? Isn´t this exactly what has happened to every one of us so often that we are sick of it?
On the one hand, the course has given us proven techniques that exactly address these matters and on the other we don´t put the effort into it to overcome our own obstacles. On the other hand it is the application that makes us either fail or succeed. Difficult question? Simple answer? Or something else?
Recap of Module 1 – Foundations
As we have learned quite a lot in the past weeks on developing a strong foundation it is time to think about what we have learned so far. After strengthening our identification with our very own business and becoming more aware of our big “WHY?” we were introduced to several techniques to identify and change old and develop new habits. Dee Kumar’s approach is no beating around the bush technique and it is no magic pill either. It is simple, actionable, straight to the point advice.
A Method for Habit Changes: Identify -> focused action
We should have identified our main habits that hinder us from having more success with our business and found out about those, that would be a great help to incorporate into our lives, we have learned a simple and working technique how to approach the course and how to address the habit change in our lives. One thing that I enjoy about working with Dee is his ability to come straight to the point. Often it is only one sentence that has enough impact to understand a problem, develop alternatives and identifying the next step.
- Identify what´s important
- Focus on this one task and act on it
Done.
Valuable Lessons
One of the key points that really made me think is to get in the habit of finishing. There was a great explanation of why we tend to start new things rather than plowing through to finish what we have started and feel the rewards of success. As an Entrepreneur this is a must-have ability for me and it is on top of my habit change list to really nail it into my head. We have taken the path to have complete freedom of choice about our future and responsibility for our lives. There is no one who gives us instructions what to do. If we don´t finish even the little things we train ourselves to fail.
If you are an achiever, you have to achieve something.
If you fail, fail because you finished something that didn´t work. Don´t fail because you did not finish something that works.
Take care and good luck, Chris

Super quote at the end Chris – I’m referencing it in a new article I’m writing.

Like Dee, I love the quote at the end of your piece today. It ties directly back to having focus, which can be so hard to find in the clutter that is internet marketing. The real test, however, is in putting the tactics into motion! I have no doubt that time spent on implementing the strategies Dee has shared in Foundations will be rewarded with increased productivity and results.

“If you fail, fail because you finished something that didn´t work. Don´t fail because you did not finish something that works.”
Hate to repeat others but man that quote is golden and so so true.

Hello everyone,
it is funny what you can come up at 06:30 in the morning, isn´t it? So thanks for the feedback. This line is much better than the old “you just have to keep going” as it adds the part to finish things that work. May it be a proven concept or something revolutionary does not matter, as long is you have put enough thought into it.
