My name is Daniel James Warburton, and I will be documenting my experience of Dee Kumar’s Online Marketing MBA course on this very blog. If you are unsure about whether or not to sign up to his coaching course, let my blog educate you over the coming months. Hopefully I’ll be able to give you the information you need to make your decision. Anyway… enough about that. I think it’s time to introduce myself properly!
I’m Daniel James Warburton, 23 years old and a recent graduate straight from university-college in the field of Psychology.
I’m a poor poker player, a fairly creative musician and a very keen gym addict. My working background is in retail and food handling (fast food).
Originally born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, I move further north to a place called Warrington when I was 2 and still live in the same house now with my mum and dad. I have just one sister, with the rest of my family living on the northern tip of the county of Lancashire.
Hobbies and interests of mine mainly involve the gym. I am a fitness addict. I love the feeling of pushing myself to the limit.
Perhaps my greatest challenge to date was completing the Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest 10km obstacle course. This is a 10km assault course carried out in October each year (in the UK). October 2010 was my first attempt at this, and seeing that I hadn’t trained as hard as I should have, I completed the course in a fairly good time. Crossing the finish line gave me the biggest feeling of accomplishment ever! From that point onwards, I’ve been addicted to replicating that feeling! The feeling of true success is incredible!
I’d say that more recently, I have expanded this beyond health and fitness. I am quickly becoming interested in self-help in general. In fact, as I’m typing this, I’ve got a book open next to me about improving interpersonal and communication skills. I’ve recently took part in a direct response copywriting course via the internet and have just finished learning about writing web content in general. My skills involve website design and development, copywriting and creative thinking.
My Internet Marketing history:
I first became interested in Internet marketing at the very young age of 16. At that time, I was just leaving high school here in the United Kingdom and completely unsure of what to do with myself. I spent hours and hours reading poor quality advice, I’ve spent far too much money on the latest craze and never really followed a method straight through to the end. My first attempt at this was in product creation. I purchased an EBook giving me a strategy; I tried it out and failed. The process involved finding a PLR product that had potential, rewriting it, creating a sales page, and teaming up with Joint ventures using their leads as potential buyers. Unfortunately, with no real interest from joint ventures, this plan soon stumbled and I ended up quitting with a loss.
My second major attempt at online marketing was around a year ago. I signed up to a product that teaches buyers several underground traffic techniques. From this, I created my own flash games arcade website called anti-boredom squad.org. After spending months trying to generate leads to this website, I failed and decided concentrating on my degree was much more important.
In April, 2011, I re-launched my online empire purely as an affiliate marketer in the self-help and fitness niches.
My online business has failed mostly, and I’ve yet to find out those missing pieces of the puzzle as to why I keep failing! I have high expectations, but not unreasonable, from completing Dee Kumar’s Online Marketing MBA. I’ve been a firm believer of sticking to the foundations. Sticking to the basics is the best way to succeed in life. Quite often people over-complicate things which often halts their progress. I’m hoping this course will equip me with the firm foundations, skills and mindset required to change my business from a failing, unorganised mess to a structured and efficient step in the right location.
As for the future, well, my long-term goals are ambitious. There is more to life than just money and I’m hoping to create the funds to fuel my life-long passion… EXPERIENCES.
If I can create an almost automated system online, I’ll be using my funds to experience life to the full. I am addicted to experiencing new things. One of my goals is to visit the North and South Pole. I’d love to go on an African Safari. I wouldn’t consider myself a thrill seeker (I’m scared of going on the big theme-park rides), but I would love to push myself to do High-Altitude, High Opening (HAHO) skydiving. I want to visit rain-forests, see all Seven Wonders of the World and even do some anthropology work amongst tribes (to experience new ways of life).
Ideally, to accomplish these goals, I need the funds to do so. This is where my online business comes in. Times are tough, jobs are difficult to find (even though I am currently employed in a theme park). My aim is to develop several online business systems that are running constantly, which will generate the funding required for me to complete my lifelong goals and more!
Life is for living, not working! That is my philosophy and I will find a way to stick to it!
Over the next several weeks, I will be testing the Online Marketing MBA out. This blog will be reporting nothing but my actual individual experiences of completing Dee Kumar’s course and putting it into use.
I’ll be documenting everything to do with the course. This includes all the negative situations, thoughts and feelings. It also includes the benefits and the positive experience of being on the Online Marketing MBA.
Stick around; I know you’ll enjoy reading it!

Daniel – Your re-entry into the affiliate space in the online marketing world seems like a natural fit for your interests. Don’t be too hard on yourself just yet. You’ve only been at this for a couple of months, and success takes some time. Recognizing that there’s more to learn and working on Dee’s course is certainly a step in the right direction. The fitness niche is huge, so I’m sure that you’ll figure out a way to profit from it. Looking forward to following your updates!

Hello Cindy, Hello Dave…
Thank you for your valued comments.
You’re right Cindy, the fitness niche is huge with tonnes of potential. I believe it is a great place to make a mark on the web.
Dave, unfortunately it is only family members that can get in for free (sorry, haha).
As for the Online Marketing MBA, I believe this course is the missing link in my online business.
Any large building needs incredibly strong foundations so it may stand tall! I know learning all the fundamentals of internet marketing is going to turn my business into a success!

I really enjoyed reading your blog post. It always amazes me how most people miss the simple concepts you described. I was talking to one of the webmasters at (link removed by editor) and they told me that for small businesses starting on the Web, Internet Marketing is a must for raising customer awareness and ultimately driving sales, and a balanced approach to Internet marketing which is comprised of two concepts; a Long Term Strategy (SEO) and a Short Term Strategy (SEM) is required for a business to succeed. Anyways, I look forward to your other blog posts.

Daniel – your current reasons for wanting a successful online business remind me of one of my favorite lines: Do what you have to do, so you can do what you want to do! It’s the freedom to be one’s own boss and have control of what we do that makes IM so appealing, and I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
