The year was 1979. I can remember it like it was yesterday which is strange considering I was only six years old.
I remember coming home from school unable to keep from scratching my head. It was the most uncomfortable feeling I’d ever experienced, (aside of the time Jennifer Berkenshire trapped me behind the bike sheds and would let me go until I gave her a kiss… she was a big girl who wouldn’t take no for an answer).
My mother watched me scratch my head for a few minutes and then asked what the problem was. I told her that I couldn’t help it and that it began after I sat next to my best friend James in class earlier that morning. James kept rubbing his hands on my head while laughing like a diabolical maniac out of a cartoon show. I couldn’t understand why.
My mother immediately grabbed my hand and rushed me to the bathroom where she began poking around inside my hair.
“You’ve got some little visitors in your hair son” she told me.
It was head lice (embarrassing I know but come on as if you haven’t had them?)
Apparently James also had these visitors in his hair and thought it would be funny to pass them along to me and 20 other children in my class. In a matter of a couple of hours, James had infected old these children by merely touching them.
I believe that this was my first experience in Joint Venture of JV partnerships. Now granted this was a rather unwanted partnership but I see the similarities between using the power of many to spread a message or in James’s case, a cruel prank.
By the way I must say how wonderful Dee Kumar’s Online MBA Course is. It really is a wealth of information and if you haven’t already signed up for it I highly advise you to do so as it will affect your business and so many positive ways. Dee really cares about his students and the information he provides shows the wealth of experience he has with regards to running businesses.
It’s very easy to feel like you are on your own when running a small business, but if you put your trust and faith into someone’s help, I would definitely recommend Dee Kumar. Plus he’s quite humorous.
So what does my story of evil James and Internet marketing have in common? Using the power of many to spread the message quickly.
Back to the power of joint ventures. They are one of the most underused but massively profitable forms of Internet marketing. It makes perfect sense for any business that is selling an online product to partner up with other sellers to gain maximum exposure for a product or niche.
The thought of contacting complete strangers and asking for their help in marketing your product or business can be quite daunting, but fear not my friends, Dee is here to help and advise you.
You will be surprised how accommodating other business owners to joint venture requests because it really is a case of a mutually beneficial business practice.
I fully agree with Dee Kumar when he speaks about how we’ve all been trained to believe or we need to do to be successful with an online business is to build back links and perform SEO. Personally I believe this is an oversold sales tactic used by Internet marketers to sell SEO products to inexperienced or “newbies” in the IM niche.
Using JV partners is much more effective and once you sign up for Dee Kumar’s Online Marketing MBA Course you will learn exactly how to use an approach these partners.
