Quite often we only ever need to make small changes to our businesses to great dramatic result. It’s part of the 90/10 rule – my real life findings on the rules of profitability which state that it is 10% of what we do that gives 90% of results.
A very good example of a small change that can make a massive difference is in the following inspiring video from the infamous TED website.
In this Video Simon Sinek talks about how great leaders inspire action and how great businesses inspire followers rather than simply customers.
He believes it all simply comes down to defining why you do something and inspiring other who believe in your same core ideal. It has nothing to do with being the best at something. In fact he shows that some companies who were the best at something failed simply because thye forgot the ‘Why’.
I watched this video a few years ago when it was first published and watched it again today. Amazing how quickly we forget some of the best lessons in life. Take a look and enjoy:
